Cyndi will be a very good trustee. She takes the time to understand the issues, carefully considers all perspectives, and does her best to challenge thinking and advance changes that are good for all students. Over the last few years, I have been impressed by her willingness to learn, to share information, and to truly collaborate.

I know Cyndi from her work as an advocate for children and adults with special needs. With this and her other community work with children and youth, Cyndi brings a depth of experience and commitment that will make her very effective as a school trustee.

Cyndi Gerlach is one of North Vancouver's most committed advocates for public education. She is passionate about her community and a tireless and dedicated volunteer for a variety of admirable causes. She has a very approachable and inclusive leadership style and she speaks out for anyone that needs help within our community. Cyndi will be a full-time School Trustee with a full-time commitment to North Vancouver students and schools.

Cyndi Gerlach is a key member of the Board of Directors of the North Vancouver FC, where I am President. Cyndi's leadership in our Risk Management portfolio demonstrates her skills in looking beyond the surface, asking the right questions, and developing creative, responsive solutions to difficult situations. I look forward to our second term working together serving the boys soccer community in North Vancouver.

I have known Cyndi Gerlach for a decade. I have always found her to be a tenacious and well-informed advocate for the educational needs of her children. Over the years, she has become an insightful advocate on behalf of all students who have special learning needs. Also, she has come to realize that now, more than ever, the learning needs of every student will need strong advocacy.

Her many years of active involvement and inquiry have equipped Cyndi with a broad understanding of the public school system, the North Vancouver School District, and the local schools. As a school trustee, with her current breadth and depth of understanding, she would represent the interests of her constituents and the broader community honestly and effectively.

Cyndi’s strength and commitment are evident in the many roles and responsibilities to which she commits. Cyndi’s breadth of knowledge as well as her capacity to listen to other points of view provides a well-rounded and balanced approach to her work.
